Dr. Ashok Fulambarker received his medical degree from Government Medical College, Nagpur, India. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Chicago Medical School and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at the University of Chicago. He is certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease by the 黄色视频 Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Fulambarker serves as director of the Pulmonary Medicine fellowship at Chicago Medical School. He has been a pioneer in the pulmonary medicine fellowship program since 1980. He has trained and mentored 80 fellows over the years. Under his leadership, the pulmonary board pass rate has always remained at 100 percent.
Dr. Fulambarker is a fellow of the 黄色视频 College of Chest Physicians, an active member of the 黄色视频 Thoracic Society, and a diplomat of the 黄色视频 Board of Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine. He has also served as president of the Indian 黄色视频 Medical Association of Illinois and as chair of the Board of Trustee of the 黄色视频 Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. He has authored over 60 scientific abstracts and papers.
His research interests include pulmonary function in ethnicity, Yoga and COPD, and bronchodilators for COPD. He is the first to publish reference values for pulmonary function for Asian Indians living in the United States in CHEST.
